It would not appear to meet any of the US safety requirements in US Regulations. It has no crash-worthiness, probably no seat belts, likely no laminated safety glass (it might have European-style tempered glass), who knows what the braking system looks like, and so forth. I read where the atmospheric smog in many industrialized Chinese cities is very bad. They rushed head on into massive industrialization and manufacturing after they were admitted to the IMF. Now they are stuck with what they have done. ps: there was an old Beverly Hillbillies episode where a conman convinced Uncle Jed to contribute millions to building a "HUGE FAN" on the hills overlooking Los Angeles to "blow all the smog out to sea". More likely 125-150 miles When you look at a Tesla Model 3 getting just over 4 miles per Kw/h and that's a large car, were as this will be a small city car driving for the most part relatively slowly it's not impossible. Shanghai and shenzen are two of the most sophisticated and advanced cities on the planet.. london and new york are like dirty ponds to these cities. With close to 15 thousand kms of track laid, for trains that travel up to 300 km hr, through 100s of km of tunnels, across the worlds longest and highest bridges. China is light years ahead of USA development.The largest power plants, heavy automation. they have basically lead the Li on revolution. WE think, oh a 9000 dollar car has to be a piece, because basically thecar companies have us hardwired to think cars are 30 or 40 grand. people will buy giant suvs to commute less then 30 km per day. And then we say, well this will never work,because we drive high speeds, and alot of highway driving, so a small commuter is not pratical. very true, because we have archaic transport networks on this continent. we try to protect the usa like they are the be all end all in technology. believe me, the USA is going to learn a hard lesson this year. shadowkin + 584 EA January 4, 2019 Sounds like Chinese snake oil. Chevrolet Bolt with 60 kWh gets 238 miles. If true there shouldn't be any reason why the Chinese couldn't almost double the size of the battery to 60 kWh and maintain that efficiency, which would mean almost 400 miles range.
