Does Tesla's Battery Has a Competition in Ukraine

Ukrainian engineer has produced and patented a prototype model of a battery for electric cars which charges in just 20 minutes.

Might be a competition, but this guy would probably need a lot of money to get this project to the end.

Well money might be his biggest problem because he needs about $2-3 million investment to launch it.

I'm sure there will be a lot of companies interested in his invention, probably China or Europe. He'll get money he needs and they'll get a chance to beat Tesla.

Do we really need new battery? If you want to make an electric car more efficient, just get better range and reduce weight.

The long range battery is always worth it in the long run. Very important when you travel on long distance. Measure how many times do you need to stop to charge your car and how less travel/charging time you could avoid.

Better range comes from bigger-capacity battery. The race for the perfect battery is gathering pace, obviously, there's so much at stake.

right, but can any of this be produced on a commercial scale .. lots of 'new battery' stories coming out, but nothing that's commercially viable yet.
