Power And Hatred In One: UAE Accuses Qatar Of Banning Its Products, Files WTO Complaint

The United Arab Emirates has filed a complaint against Qatar at the World Trade Organization saying Doha has imposed a ban on Emirati products, UAE state news agency WAM said on Tuesday. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt have imposed a diplomatic, trade and transport boycott of Qatar since June 2017 over allegations Doha supports terrorism, a charge Qatar denies. Qatar filed in July 2017 a wide-ranging legal complaint at the WTO to challenge the trade boycott by the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The case is still ongoing. “The UAE’s action comes after the Qatari ministry of economy banned the sale of consumer goods manufactured in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt,” WAM reported. The report did not state when the complaint was filed.

Generally, cases like this are attacks on economies and people, represented by economic sanctions, unjust tariffs or unfair obstruction to their companies...

So, wait... If I understand well: They are complaining to the World Trade Organization that the country which they are blockading is not selling products from the countries that have blockaded it.... Madness

So, UAE and Saudi have placed a blockade against Qatar cause Qatar funds terrorists. So there has been no trade between the two countries and Qatar also no Qatari is allowed in UAE. There is no conflict. The  question is - who is bigger exporter of terrorism between these countries...

There is already a dispute between these two countries in the WTO, with Qatar initiating one in 2017 regarding the quartet's blockade. The UAE says that Doha is now "violating the very same rules it claims the UAE is violating"....

This is hilarious... They are so petty, they are probably envious that Qataris now enjoy delicious Turkish or German chocolates at all their grocery stores... :)
