GM Cutting 4,000 Workers in Latest Round of Restructuring

GM cutting hundreds of salaried workers in Georgia, Arizona, Texas and Michigan at its IT centers, according to lawmakers who have been briefed on the cuts.

The largest U.S. automaker announced in November it would cut a total of about 15,000 jobs and end production at five North American plants. The cuts include eliminating about 8,000 salaried workers, or about 15 %.

Although I don't like GM products, 4000 layoffs of decent-paying jobs is tough to see.

Crony capitalism affecting hundreds of millions brought by the bank cartel and the FED is much harder for me to see than 4000 layoffs. GM should have been shut down and parted out back in '08.
