In that case it's probably harmless and arguably efficient. But if the idea is to remove funding from civilian space exploration at NASA? Than it's not so good. Illurion + 894 IG February 22, 2019 (edited) Both the Chinese and the Russians have developed their own, separate, GPS system, along with the ability to DESTROY OUR EXISTING GPS SYSTEM simultaneous to turning theirs on....... Both the Chinese and the Russians have sent up a series of special SATELLITES that are able to change orbit, and maneuver toward other satellites... aka: a hunter killer satellite... It has been "hinted" at by the Chinese that some of those satellites carry nukes capable of causing an EMP that could practically wipe out the USA's electrical grid in seconds...... The Chinese in particular have developed a whole series of land based "MISSILES" and "LASER WEAPONS" that are already active now, and able to destroy any of our satellites that they choose... i could go on in a whole series of categories...... THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT A FUTURE WAR WILL INCLUDE MANY ATTACKS AGAINST THE USA AND ITS ALLIES VIA SPACE BASED WEAPONS, AND AGAINST OUR SPACE BASED WEAPONS... THE PROBABILITY OF A WAR IN SPACE INCREASES WITH EACH NEW TECH BREAKTHROUGH... The USA cannot WAIT until an attack to find out how vulnerable we are, and to coordinate our defenses...... The SPACE FORCE will start out by assuming the many SPACE-BASED duties that are currently handled by other Military and Civilian Agencies... It will then move on to create new Technologies to protect us.... Do not be surprised that when we reach the point of having full-time ships in orbit, that a STARFLEET COMMAND type of organization will be created as a department of the SPACE FORCE just like the Marines is a department of the NAVY....
