Market share is far larger than electric vehicles worldwide and is growing. It makes more sense for anyone who drives long range.

I would mention that the Polish shipyard Remontowa Gdansk has just completed the conversion of a British Columbia ferryboat from diesel to nat.gas.  the ferry went from Vancouver via the Panama Canal to the Baltic Sea, underwent mid-life upgrade and the conversion, and then went all the way back (!).  Rather a long haul for an inter-island ferryboat.  Incidentally, I think that the shipyard is owned by the Dutch, with Dutch design work coming out of Head Office, the steel-cutting and fitting labor being done in Poland as Poland has a surplus of experienced workers and relatively lower wages.  Europe is heading in the direction of multi-site fabrication, a bit like Boeing assembling their fuselages in Kansas and hauling them to Seattle for final assembly.  http://www.polandatsea.com/spirit-of-vancouver-island-converted-to-lng-on-the-way-to-canada/

the natural gas is converted to a liquid and stored in a cyrogenic tank (above)   rather impressive, all things considered.
