Yes, people are not easily convinced that giving up things right now is warranted, and they are deeply skeptical without hard current evidence that long term projections are accurate either.  Tough combination, that.

So, the best answer is again natural gas for everywhere it can benefit mankind. It is the lowest cost answer, one of the cleanest, requires only minor modifications to fuel a large truck, pickup, van, large SUV etc. Can also be modified for cars but uses up more essential luggage space. A car initially designed for natural gas is preferable.
