Saudi License To Kill In Yemen? Target: Iran.

(edited)

The US ambassador to Yemen has accused the Iranian backed Houthis of failing to uphold what was agreed to in talks held in Sweden last December. This could possibly be a signal for the Saudi, UAE backed Sunnis in Yemen's south to go on the offensive and try to retake a key port with the goal of cutting off the Houthis' weapons supply from Iran and the eventual defeat of the Houthis. This would tie into the anti-Iranian strategy of the Trump administration by ensuring Iran is surrounded on all sides by hostile or unstable neighbors.

The Houthis claim that agreement was only achieved as a result of international pressure from the Khashoggi killing.
