I doubt the EU is going to go on a wholesale defying sanctions and setting up SPV's. Trade with US is a very big entity for EU and China. The trade deals will be settled in some ways and trade will go on between the US and China. Dont forget since the trade spat started with the US, China's economy tanked, their lost 5 trillion $ of value in the market and the US gained.
