The world has become a more dangerous place recently but not because of conflicts but because of its growing dependency on digital tech. What a huge surprise. let's first build a dependency on digital tech and then start worrying about it. WEF is actually more worried about hackers now than about social polarization. High time.

It's more letting the horse take off before the cart is attached .... actually, but very little progresses in any other way unfortunately.

I've been reading quite a bit about cybersecurity recently and it's quite frightening. Few outside the specialist field seem to be aware of all the dangers out there. I felt like switching everything off and moving to a forest cottage with no internet connection. Safest way. And I don't have a business with 100+ employees with personal data floating around and whatnot.

Hah, yes! A governor recently asked Elon Musk how the politicians are supposed to regulate AI if they are not quite clear what they need to regulate. Musk couldn't tell him anything besides "Just make sure everyone is careful," or something.
