Then they magically came out with the replacement with lots of bright, shiny new patents protecting it. 4 times as expensive and 1/4 as effective. He was so ashamed later that when he recognized the exact same techniques being used for AGW he made sure to take a stand against it. Fred Singer) testified in a congressional hearing that CFCs were not a problem, rather than saying there was one. Furthermore, the article pointed out that he was alone against thousands of other scientists that took the opposite view.
