Biofuel Standard Fails to Reduce Emissions Much

It was never intended to reduce emissions.  The purpose was to develop captive markets for corn farmers, particularly in Iowa, which is the first State to record its Electoral College votes in national elections.  It is a vote hustle scheme, which everybody in Washington signs on to. Ethanol from corn makes no sense at all.  If you want to add ethanol, then the logical solution would be to buy bulk sugar from Cuba.  I don't think this Congress is up to that.
