It's a matter of survival.

US, Saudi Arabia is not your friend.  US spends $100 Billion to keep Saudi shipping lanes open and they buy military equipment from Russia.  

This might be only alternative after rocket launchers captured from ISIS in Syria had serial numbers of rocket launchers U.S. sold to Saudis.
