Official implicated in scandal named Park Service’s acting director

Recommended Posts

The new acting director of the National Park Service is a former parks official who was reprimanded 12 years ago for pressuring employees to allow the owner of the Washington Redskins to cut down trees for a better view of the Potomac River. “Dan has a strong record of leadership in the National Park Service both in Washington and on the front lines as a superintendent of a park that tells the stories of some of the most consequential moments in American history,” Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke said in a statement.

Smith had previously retired from the park service after 31 years, until he was named its deputy director two weeks ago. So, we had no one younger?

Surprised? Isn't the drug czar only 24? (until he was recently forced to step down for inconsistencies in his resume) ...

there is nothing inconsistent in his resume. Worked as Trump campaign, organized one charity golf tournament and was full time employee in his father chia seed factory, which closed when his dad went to jail for illegally processing Mexican steroids. Maybe Trump is aiming for kid to become son-in-law

When no one reputable is willing to join your administration you are left with the candidates from retirement homes

What gives the National Park Service the right to demand that Daniel Snyder not cut trees on his own property? Is that not seizure of Mr. Snyder's property for unauthorized government purposes?

it was his property, yes, but the land included an easement for historic preservation, so they were not at liberty to cut them down without approval.
