The only way to control ever increasing pollution that has already crossed the safe limits and making this planet a host of disease is by increasing the crude oil prices.

It has become luxury to drive vehicles without caring for environment.

The crude oil prices should be increased to such an extent that only for emergency purpose, people should take out their vehicles . Thay should be forced to use public transport.

do you have a car?? either you are a troll or narrow minded.  do you think it is all used for autos?  sooo, you should sell your house, throw your phone away, give all your clothes away, move to rainforest and live naked and afraid, with nothing from modern culture with you...these posts have given me an idea, i think i will buy rainforest property, turn it into green new dummy resorts with treehouses, and anti-oil folks can live with tinkerbell, peter pan and the gorillas, who wants to invest??

I do hope Mr. Birje realizes there are two of him in India.  Here is a descriptive of the other:

Two others who were today sentenced by a special court to life imprisonment, along with Laxmi, are the Manchekar gang’s henchmen Amol Shankar Vichare and Shashikant Mahadeo Birje. They have been asked to pay a fine of Rs 5 lakh each. The case was tried under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act.

Now,let's get back to the issue raised by Mr. Birje.  Does "pollution" lead to "global disease"?  That is unlikely.  If we re-phrase that as a situation where "pollution" will cause adverse effects, then the question is: is that pollution from CO2 generation?  If that is the real concern, then I remain dubious.   And the reason is that, no matter how you categorize it, CO2 remains a trace gas in the atmosphere. It is measured in parts per million, not say parts per hundred as is the case with Nitrogen.  Do small concentrations of CO2 cause adverse effects?  Probably not. 

OK, so let's get past that and assume it does.  Now what?  Ban all use of products that generate CO2?  Well, you could do that, but then you would have to cut meat out of the human and animal diet. That is achievable, protein can be obtained from soybeans, and also from fish, although the fisheries are already under stress and could not absorb more takings.  You could plausibly get protein from seaweed and algae, if you can get past the cultural barriers to its consumption.  

You are probably better off in re-forming societies such as Pakistan to have far less children.  The world's poor end up with say 8 children per family, which they cannot fund the support of, because of a harvest of cultural factors, including sexual subservience and utter absence of birth controls. Europe, Russia, and Japan are already way below replacement rates, and have shrinking populations.  Even the USA, with its obsessions over sex matters, is below replacement rates (and kept going only by net immigration).  Is reforming Pakistan (or, for that matter, India) a huge deal?  Will it take a ton of effort? Sure it will.  Is anybody prepared to make the effort?  Of course not.  Not even the Pakistanis. 

And there's your real problem.
