Uranium producers trying to get some of the "buy America" love

Hah! Now some uranium producers are trying to jump on the 'made in America' band wagon and get Trump to require that 25% of uranium requirements for US reactor operators must be domestically sourced. Operators aren't going to like this because it's likely not economically feasible.

that's more than double the amount that is domestically sourced now, and there's a reason for that--price.

According to the EIA, about 11% was domestically sourced in 2016. The rest came from:

• Canada–25%
• Kazakhstan–24%
• Australia–20%
• Russia–14%
• Uzbekistan–4%
• Malawi, Namibia, Niger, and South Africa–10%
• Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Germany, and Ukraine–2%
