Look, Canada, the cases of the German tourists are not a "robbery gone bad."  You just don't get it. The killing is purely wanton.  The tourists have no idea what is happening, they are peaceful people form an unarmed country.  The killers just kill them without compunction.  They don't care if that tourist lives or dies, not even interesting, they kill because they like it.  Who is going to stop them?  You?

The police cannot stop them except by pure happenstance.  The police are a "reactive" force; they show up when called.  Nobody calls them because the tourists are shot.  The killers just laugh about it.  The lack of any response just emboldens them.  It will go on until the killers are shot, that is the reality.  You just don't get it.  AMAZING.  I invite you to emigrate to some city in South Africa, say Jo'burg or Capetown, and see for yourself how this ends up.  Armed gangs everywhere.  You pull into your driveway and the criminals rush into your garage to kill you and rob  you.  You cannot even stand on the public sidewalk in front of your own house without getting robbed and shot.  You think sitting in your car and having some gang ramming you is not to be resisted?  You are living in dreamland.  Wake up and get real.  Places such as Miami and Houston are violent.  They will kill you in an instant and not even think about it.  You are not visiting Saskatoon.  Or Moncton. Or Val d'Or.  Do try to focus on that.

Notice how that correlates*?

*Spare me the overused "not causation" quote, I'm well aware of it.

Saskatoon and Moncton are actually pretty rough.  Troubled native population in Saskatoon, and Moncton has loads of Hell's Angles.

Give them the stuff, and then kill them if they still go for your life.

You won't have that option.  You will already be dead.

That is because Canada has no opinions.  The place is totally bland and opinionless.

Well I'm full of opinions. Love 'em or hate them I've got plenty to spare!

Pocahantas would have a much better chance of winning if she looked like that Pocahantas! Of course there are more important issues than looks, like fossil fuel use, the economy, socialism, spending trillions on every possible foolish idea, etc.

I guess she does not have a chance in hell to win.  hahahaha

So I'll just wait here patiently for Canada to apologize, which is inevitable ....

People think the "sorry" thing is a dig against us.  It's not - but sorry our politeness offends you. :)

Actually, Canadians are some of the nicest, friendliest people I have ever met.  Perhaps the long, isolated, freezing cold Canadian winters disrupt the "be an aggressive jerk" gene that one tends to encounter in most big cities in the world.

Got to stay warm somehow - cold nights make for happy mornings! LOL

There is some truth to that - heatwaves cause a massive increase in violence and a massive decrease in cuddling.

To give him credit trump plays his fools well - a true master of distraction. Notice how nobody is chatting about Mexican immigration, the wall, up to 25% tariff on Mexico (didn't happen).

Now it's China and guns - forget about all that other stuff you got excited about that didn't happen.  People will start noticing this trade war is a flop and -surprise!  A new crisis to focus will be promptly delivered by tweet.

Really you should have just given them the vehicle.  If it's completely gone insurance would pay out easier than damages.

Defending stuff with your life is foolish, especially insured stuff.

How did you ascertain that your assailants were going to stop at assault and robbery?

They had my wallet, stopped hitting me, and ran away? :) (it was a long time ago I can laugh about it now).

If three guys came up to you while walking alone and said give me your wallet what would you do?

In my case I gave them the wallet and they hit me a few times anyways - dicks. I got a few bruises, everyone lived, and there was no money in the wallet.

My point was that you had no way of knowing, for sure, how far this event would escalate.

Were these guys on drugs? You don’t know. Would you have reacted differently if you had been with your wife, your girlfriend, or your daughter?

If somebody asked for my wallet (robbed me), I had given it to them and THEN they began to hit me (as per your timeline), I would have started to question just how far they were going to go - you had already complied and handed over your wallet...

Personally, If I was armed at this point, I would have started shooting. These guys had confirmed that they were criminals (they had successfully robbed you), they had shown that this was going to escalate (they proceeded to assault you), and you could not possibly know what the end game was going to be.

If you choose to accept this, this is up to you. I am going to do everything legally in my power to get home and live another day. If this means killing people like this, so be it, they brought it on themselves.

Yes, it does.  You mug someone, you beat someone up, then don't be surprised you get shot dead. Works for me.

BY that standard no one should ever resist a criminal.  And where does that attitude stop?  You (man or woman)wake up in your bed and a naked man is standing over you;  do you meekly hand over your sex organs to him?  And what makes you think he will not kill you afterward?

I knew these folks.  They were a lovely family.  Mom and the two daughters, 11 and 17, did not resist the criminals.  The raping went on all night long.  Then the criminals killed them in the morning.   That is what happens when you do not shoot them.

If the article Jan posted does not drive home that it is a good idea to protect yourselves, then nothing will.

There was nobody to call the cops, and no time regardless.

The story is a bit more complicated.  The husband, Dr. Petit, had fallen asleep on the downstairs sofa; when the two criminals broke in, they first beat him unconscious with a baseball bat.  Then they tied him up and threw him in the cellar.  Then the two proceeded to start raping the mom and the daughters.   Eventually Dr. Petit regained consciousness, was able to party free himself, and escaped out through the cellar Bilco doors to the neighbors, to call the police.  At the same time the older criminal took the mother down to the local bank to have her withdraw $15,000 in cash for them.  She did that but slipped a note to the manager that they were being held hostage.

When the first police responded, the Supervisor in the station instructed the police to "set up a perimeter."  Now a policeman by definition is paid and trained to take risks.  Had the first arriving policeman gone into the house and shot the criminals dead  (remember, the police had information about the two men from the bank note), then it would have  ended there.  Instead, by sitting outside, the criminals were able to tie up the three women to their beds and douse them with gasoline and set them on fire.  And that is how they died. With the smoke and flames billowing out of the house, in the confusion at least one escaped with the family car, to be hunted down later.  Both criminals were captured alive.  One has been executed.  I lost track of the status of the other.  The event was so horrific, and Dr. Petit and family so well known and liked, that the entire (Democrat) debate about abolishing the death penalty for felony murder ground to a stop, as no politician wanted to vote for abolition while these two criminals were still alive.  I also point out that both were on parole from jail for violent crimes; indeed, the two criminals met in jail and hatched the plot to rob and rape the wife and girls while in jail.  It was the first crime done on release, about two weeks after they left jail.

What this demonstrates is that there are some criminals that can never be released into society.  Either you lock them up for life, or you have to execute them.  There are no other options.  Unfortunate, but that is the way it goes.  These were seriously pathological persons.

P.S.  When the raping started, the 17-year-old, herself sexually inexperienced, begged the younger rapist to rape her instead, and leave the 11-year-old alone.  The criminal laughed, and raped the kid sister in front of her older sister.  Then he raped the older sister.  Meanwhile, the older criminal was in another room raping the mother repeatedly, with a weapon at her head.   These were not criminals that can be rehabilitated. The raping went on for hours and hours.  I invite you to ponder the last hours of these women, and the horror of their mode of death.

I also invite you to ponder just how utterly incompetent the police response was.  Sitting outside in your cruiser waiting around for more policemen to arrive is incompetent.  If Dr. Petit had a gun hidden in that basement, he could have killed the scum and saved his family.  And that is why you don't have these "gun laws."

Trump has more money, better organization and a strong economic recovery this time around. The Democrats have a huge majority - over 70% - wanting a radical candidate. Their positions on key issues are opposed by 60-70% of the general electorate. Trump is polling much better among blacks and Hispanics than he did in 2016. The Democrats have done nothing to get back blue collar voters nd their radical candidates don't poll well with white blue collar voters. Current polls often over-state the Dem-Rep split and are often all registered voter samples which overstate Democrat votes on election day. The Trump base is totally fired up and his go-vote organization is far ahead of the Democrats now, using social media to fuel it. I may not even be close.

Nope.  Most of the memes which I make that are specifically in response to comments on this forum are usually identifiable.  Like the Star Trek Borg ones this morning.

Most of my other memes are not suitable for here, and are meant for chan forums where sh*tposting and trolling are expected, and there is no moderation.

Random selection of some of my old memes which I made specifically in response to comments for this forum.  I don't have a separate folder for my own memes, I just make them and dump them in with every other random meme in my meme folders.  Most of these will be fairly meaningless without context.

Tom, you really do have to stop doing the maroon T-shirt girl one, that is not suitable anywhere.  It is a bit silly to beat up on someone for their looks.  Just saying...
