Electric Buses to Reach Half of World Fleet by 2025

Recommended Posts

Their number will triple by 2025 to 1.2 million and 99% of this will be in China. What could go wrong, right? They'll need more coal for power generation, for one thing, I guess.

Why can't we make coal busses and skip the interim step?

Back to nature, that's right. It will save energy, actually, by cutting out several production lifecycle links. But Greenpeace will object, I'm afraid. They treat "back to nature" selectively.

Unlikely.... Maybe in a few countries, but:
1. Oil lobby is very strong.
2. Developing countries won't be so ready to adopt to high cost of Electric Bus.
3. No technology in sight would allow uninterrupted intercity drive exceeding 500km.
