Seems like the Conversation Australia has decided, just like a lot of the left wing libs have, that freedom of speech and personal opinions are only acceptable if they are voicing the same opinion they have. Everybody else is just wrong, so freedom of speech should be revoked for those they disagree with. They might as well have just said it. "If you don't agree with the editors/moderators on our site, we will ban you. Are they trying to start a branch of the Democratic party over there now?

This is unnerving.. I have some digging to do as I can't distinguish between truth and tin foil on that page. I'm sure some of it has to be true, but it seems incredibly outlandish.

In my opinion, there is more correct information than tin foil in that thread.  Sorting out the facts from the tin foil can indeed be unnerving.  Links are provided for many of the points raised in the thread for people to chase down and make up their own minds.

One thing is certain, Greta and parents are not accidental protesters.  See the Antifa t-shirts they all wear which I posted a few comments above.

The Left has a distinct double standard.

Greta is a specific child being used and abused by her parents and other adults with an agenda.

I am not making a generalized slur.  I am very specifically calling out the play acting bullshit by Greta, which is being actively forced by her parents, and which is being forcibly shoved down our throats by Mainstream Media.

Have you not noticed that Greta is personally attacking all adults?  Her speech was one huge personal attack and yelling diatribe against anyone that disagrees with her extremist views.  

Greta allows zero dissent.  And I have a very big problem with that.

I'm not sure if your comment is about Greta or oil industry in general. However, everyone is free to present opinions transparently in this forum, even about Greta who, as Tom already pointed out, is a public figure. Also all comments are subjects to criticism, positive or negative and every post author must be aware of it. 

Comments in this forum are not deleted unless they are advertisement. Only threads could be closed for further discussion when posts become insults or they have nothing to do with topic.

When it comes to climate change, I do not know enough to make a judgement one way or the other, and I doubt Greta has the scientific background to understand it any better.

What I do know is that this issue is preventing other environmental issues from being brought up. It's like a magician using misdirection. A few examples we have mind-boggling amounts of plastic in the ocean they need to be taken care of. Our waterways have high levels of contaminants that are killing and mutating the fish. We have invasive species such as the spotted lanternfly in the Northeast, the silver carp (flying fish) in the Mississippi, and the Nutria (looks like a large groundhog with white whiskers) that are disturbing our ecology.

I do not think that the United States is solely responsible for these issues.
