What exactly has directly improved in your life since trump?  Got a raise, better job?  Probably nothing.

At least some people got healthcare under the Dems

I don't know how things are going up there in Canada but I know down here in the United States of America things have definitely gotten a lot better since Trump has been elected to office. For one thing personally, my construction business has boomed! The only reason for me not having work would be for me just to be a lazy piece of s***. There are Help Wanted signs everywhere. The biggest problem in the construction business down here is the lack of skilled labor. For one thing I have no use for a college graduate that can't hold a hammer or run a screw gun or READ A STINKING TAPE.  There are plenty of business graduates and women's studies graduates that I have absolutely no use for.  It's not just the construction business, there are Help Wanted signs everywhere. People are hiring constantly and cannot find enough people to do the work. If you don't have a job in the Southeast right now it's simply because you don't want to work. Don't give me that, 'that's why we need illegal immigrants  to do the work Americans wont'  when there are Americans collecting welfare or sitting around in homeless camps smoking weed and shooting up dope.

The success directly correlates to Donald Trump reducing regulations on business and giving us a tax cut that allows for more cash flow. It's just a fact man, I'm sorry if it doesn't jive with your political view or bias towards our President. And in regards to the health-care thing, I had a cancer scare not long ago and tried to sign up for Obamacare because I am self-employed and I got turned down, so that  bureaucratic ball of smegma is not as peachy as you might think it is either. I'm a big boy though and I handled it myself. I'm telling you man, government is not the answer to the Common Mans Daily Grind, free markets and Free People are.  I don't understand how leftist think the government is the answer. I really don't understand how the country that has done more to lift people out of poverty and give power and freedom to the common man, a country that has shed its blood across the world for the cause of freedom, not only in our own country, but in other countries doomed to destruction by socialistic and communistic governments is so hated by the left. In my view if you hate this country then you hate freedom for mankind and that makes us enemies ( not speaking specifically to you enthalpic) This country that hundreds of thousands of people risk their lives and illegally enter on a weekly basis, that is constantly demonized by literally half of its own Representatives, the Very government that runs it, is the country that all other countries will call in time of need against said tyrranical, communistic, and socialist governments. Don't misunderstand me, we will gladly show up. I myself would lay down my life to protect Canada, the UK and any other country that strives for freedom for man. What scares me is that there are not more countries out there that have people that feel the same way other than the UK,  Canada, Australia and a few other European nations... I hope.  I fear, however, the Insidious propaganda that is turning these countries is turning mine as well.

And while I'm ranting, why are there not more countries out there that have adopted a constitutional type of government that expressly gives its citizens freedoms? Why would some country like Honduras or Ecuador or whateveristan, not look at the model of America and mimic it because of its success? Rather than migrate to it? I think the real answer is that evil is real, evil has a plan, and globalism is its baby.  That is what evil is striving for.  Yes the United States of America has its problems, but by and large it has done more for the greater good of mankind than any other country in the history of the world. People have scales over their eyes and refuse to see the true evil that is globalism and all of its hors d'oeuvres that lead to destruction. I pray for my country and I pray for us all. God bless.

Suffice it to say, like it or not, in a couple of years Trump has done more for our country than the last POTUS did in all wasted eight years combined. The Demo's just drove us into the ground for almost a decade!! Especially those of us in the manufacturing sector.....Now we need to get rid of the ACA so we can get our insurance(hopefully) to go back down to reasonable levels....

Heck man, I LOST my insurance!

Haha thanks man :)  nice to know some get where I'm coming from, and that how you express yourself goes hand in hand with free speech itself. People aren't getting my sense of humour sometimes I think but hey...  Can't wait until the trolls see your comment lol  🤣

By the way, I've been thinking of starting a blog. Just an idea at the moment. I start a lot of threads obviously, and just so people don't think I'm paid by ZeroHedge or something I thought I'd do a blog, and start putting some threads in there...

It would be similar geopolitical stuff to the threads really, bit of trading stuff maybe, the 'weird stories from round the world', anything I think of I guess. Then if you don't like me or my threads, and you can't work out how to block me, you don't have to see it.

Hahah well I've been chatting to mod about how it works, as you wouldn't see stuff come up like in the ''latest discussions'' but I've noticed when you very first log in the ''communal blogs'' are at the top of the homepage. I'm hoping people will just find it anyway, or when they realise I haven't posted for a while, they'll do the math

Almost everything he's done are executive actions, which means the next president can cancel it all with a wave of his or her pen.

I would correct this misunderstanding of the operation of an "Executive Order," which is likely what Mr. Zhong references when he says "executive action."   An executive Order cannot be undone by the next President.  To cancel out an Executive Order, the matter has to go to the House of Representatives who then have to pass a Bill to vacate the Order.  That Bill in turn then has to go to the Senate for ratification.

It is not as easy as Mr. Zhong would have you believe.  In the American system, an Executive Order cannot be overturned "with the wave of a pen."

I understand, part of what has happened is that big companies have lobbied for exemptions from the law. In my mind that should automatically make the law null and void, why should most of us be held accountable but a select few not? Doesn't seem fair, does it. Did your company just drop the insurance? I know most of us make way too much money to ever even think about qualifying for help with the ridiculous cost, so we have to go without and get penalized for that. Again, doesn't seem fair at all, does it? The ACA has been an ignorant joke since they were talking about it in congress. I remember pelosi telling us we didn't need to know what was in the bill until after it passed....Or was that warren(the fake Indian)? I do remember thinking that was the dumdest thing I had ever heard come out of any politicians mouth to date. Of course they have eclipsed that ignorance since then... think o'rourke

How very Canadian of you, Enthalpic.

Actually, for those of you who have little interaction with Canadians, this approach to life has been attenuated a tad with the large influx of migrants in the last two decades.  While the numbers are difficult to quantify, it would seem that Canada's population might have expanded by as much as ten million due to immigration, typically not from the US. And that in turn is changing the emotional landscape, specifically in the Greater Toronto Area  (GTA).  We shall see how it all plays out.

Yeah, SOME people got healthcare, and now they are hurting for that because of the ACA. The premiums are ridiculous, the deductibles are ludicrous, and the whole thing is pure idiocy of our government in action. Theyhave insurance they can't afford to use now. Great plan from oboma, works almost as well as every other thing our "leaders" dream up. Now they are talking about putting MORE regs on drug companies, so saddle up y'all, we're taking a little jaunt down the old dumbass trail to see what kind of shite we can stir up there. Just ANOTHER failed plan that they will try to push on us as being "GREAT". We'll be so screwed we won't even be able to afford an aspirin without insurance to help pay for it. The government has no business in trying to regulate something it can't possibly even begin to understand.

I am curious to know how many people here think Trump is correct on 2 points: the "value" of the dollar is too high; and the Fed is responsible?
