WE ARE CLEARLY ALL GOING TO DIE BY LEAVING THIS CRUMBLING MESS.

WE WILL LITERALLY 'COLLAPSE'.

WELL OBVIOUSLY...

A no-deal Brexit would lead to the collapse of the United Kingdom, the president of the European Commission has warned. Jean-Claude Juncker's intervention came as relations between Downing Street and Brussels hit a new low, following a row over hostile briefings emanating from No.10.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-no-deal-jean-claude-juncker-eu-boris-johnson-donald-tusk-a9148491.html

In an interview with a French newspaper Mr Juncker reiterated Brussels' accusations that the UK was engaging in a "blame game" and warned the consequences could be dire. "I do not accept this ‘blame game’ of pinning the eventual failure of the negotiations on the EU," he told Les Echos. “If that’s the case, the explanation is actually in the British camp because the original sin is on the islands and not on the Continent." Addressing the prospect that the parties would not come to an agreement, he warned: “Nobody would come out a winner in this scenario. A no-deal Brexit would lead to a collapse of the United Kingdom and a clear weakening of the roots of growth on the Continent.”

Aside from the economic chaos a no-deal would cause, polls suggest it would create a groundswell of support for a united Ireland and Scottish independence. A poll conducted last month even showed that four in ten voters in Wales would support independent to stay in the EU. The Commission president also warned that the future relationship between the UK and EU was on course to be "less intimate than with Canada" – a reference to the scope of a planned Free Trade Agreement. Under Boris Johnson the UK has tried to jettison "level playing-field" provisions agreed to by Theresa May that the EU requires for a close economic relationship, including on environment, food regulation, state aid, and safety standards.

On Tuesday Mr Juncker's colleague Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council, accused Mr Johnson of playing a "stupid blame game" after anonymous No.10 sources tried to paint the EU side as intransigent and responsible for the lack of movement. Tempers were raised further after Downing Street briefed an account of of a conversation with Angela Merkel, which her office declined to confirm.

Mr Johnson spoke to Irish prime minister Leo Varadkar on Tuesday night, after which the situation appeared to calm down. Following a meeting with EU negotiator Michel Barnier in Brussels, Irish deputy prime minister Simon Coveney told reporters: "I believe that the prime minister wants to find a way of doing a deal. We believe him in that." But he added: "We want to find a way of getting a deal too but certainly there are some in the UK who seem to be planning for a general election ahead of trying to plan to get a deal - In context of some of the pressure that has been put on and some of the commentary that we’ve seen. "To be honest with you we are just ignoring all of that. Domestic politics in the UK is really a matter for Britain. What we are focusing on is trying to close a gap between two negotiating teams."

I am from the US and have not followed Brexit at all other than a few random posts. My question is. If immigration on paper was not allowed other than temporary visas for business could the boarders been left open, the U.K. stayed with Europe, and enforcement be left to local law enforcement.

Years ago we've had promises of reduced immigration from politicians and we were told it's all the EU's fault. So we said ok then we'll leave so we did, and still nothing has changed.

Brexit is the same thing as the Trump vote, people are sick to death of being ignored by the elites and we want policies that help us not a bunch of freeloaders.

BECAUSE we've not left though haha :) we will technically be able to make own immigration laws!

Immigration since 1945 ..

1950s  30,000 a year

1960s  30,000 a year

1970s  30,000 a year

1980s  30,000 a year

1990s  30,000 a year

2000s   300,000 a year

2010s   300,000 a year

Hint - these last 2 are not typos

To me Brexit is like Trumps wall, an expensive unneeded smoke screen. If you ran enforcement through employers with fines and jail time the problem would self deport. No job, no problem.

''Scientists believe that the calving process is a natural phenomenon and is not related to climate change. Fricker explained: "We don't think this event is linked to climate change, it's part of the ice shelf's normal cycle, where we see major calving events every 60-70 years."

So we are just always doomed on this planet?
Meh. Get on with Brexit anyway.

And what does it cost you ? There are are really good projections for this and it ain't pretty.

Industrial areas in South East and North East UK that focus on offshore will be destroyed... But hey, just blue collar offshore simpletons...

The same thing happened years ago, I think that calved berg was the size of Rhode Island (sorry, don’t have a supporting link). Needless to say, environmentalists said, ‘Told you so!’.

What they did NOT tell you was that on the same day the earlier berg calved, the extent of the ice sheet on the other side of Antarctica was the greatest in recorded history!

Don’t take my word for it, look it up!

El Nikko,

Yes that is the popular vote they capitalised on, but we have been played yet again by the elites. You see the entire reason for Brexit is nothing more than the UK loosing its offshore tax havens status. If we stay in the EU we cannot maintain these and the wealthy elites were worried by this. Need proof just look how many Billionaires sponsored and still pay for vote leave.

Well...apparently...the Brits just don’t understand what they are voting for...when they are voting.

This is a very good thing to understand when they, in their unenlightened state, vote contrary to your party’s wishes.

Those damn voters screwing up the democratic process again! 😂
