No matter how we vote in the EU elections the UK can be out voted by the other 27 states and often are. The people don't get to vote for the commission it's not like British or American democracy because it isn't a country. The 'parliament' is a talking shop and at best just gets to ammend proposals put forward by the unelected Commission. You might not care what is left for future generations but the way the EU works is that it could easily be abused in the future, I would laugh if the populist right took control then you might see what I am talking about. At the end of the day we don't care, 17.4 million people voted out, it was the biggest democratic vote this country has ever had.
