Any difference btw Hunter Biden on BOD of Ukraine Company vs. Qatar bailout of Kushner Real Estate 666 Fifth Ave ?

Presidential Advisor Jared Kushner (Trump son-in-law) paid record high price for 666 Fifth Ave building in NYC while his father was in jail for tax evasion.  It was a financial disaster.  

A balloon bank payment of $1.4 Billion was due in February 2019.

After Trump took Jared off the hands of his father to work in the Whitehouse the Kushner Real Estate searched the world, including Middle East for financing to avoid Bankruptcy.  

Jared's father, Charles Kushner, met the Qataries in April 2017.  Geez, how did he manage to get that meeting ?

A fund associated with Qatar (Qatar was Co-Owner of Brookfield Fund) bailed out the Kushner 666 Fifth Ave property with a 99 year lease, all rent paid up front.

What is Trump pressure on Saudi and UAE to drop their embargo on Qatar worth to the Qataries ?

Just a coincident ?

Isn't this the same as Hunter's sweetheart deals in Ukraine and China ?

Is Trump beholding to Qatar ?

By simple reasoning Kushner would be beholden to the fund, not Trump.

Trump is not perfect but better than Hillary.

Better than any of Democrat in  primary.

If looks like Warren going to win primary, good chance new Democratic candidate jumps in race or even third party candidate enters election.

Don't have to be overly sensitive to any comments about Trump

 Nobody is perfect.  

Does any honest fair minded thinking person believe there was no quid pro quo with Hunter Biden deal ? NO !

So be fair.  Kushner Real Estate could not meet payment (1.4 Billion) on 666 Fifth Ave property and about to go under.   Then out of nowhere Qatar comes to the Rescue ?

Jabbar, do you know anything at all about real estate? The property has intrinsic value and who knows what the original down payment was, or how much has been paid down? What real estate is worth is not subject to some reporter's opinion, but what the market, including financiers are willing to pay. Banks have become second tier funding sources for lots of reasons, but primarily because the meltdown of 2008 showed the emperor had no clothes. 

Now let's compare to Hunter Biden. He was expelled from the military dishonorably, then with absolutely zero knowledge or experience immediately gets a plum director seat making $168,000 per MONTH? Based on his vast knowledge about natural gas, pipelines and Ukraine? Not a chance, paying Hunter was a way to bribe Quid Pro Joe Biden, as anyone with an IQ over room temperature knows. There is ZERO asset value to Hunter, but a building on Fifth Avenue NYC? That's an asset you can take to the bank.

To be clear, Kushner doesn't even OWN 666 anymore, having sold it last year to a company called Brookfield, which Qatar has a measly 9% of. If you believe they used their 9% to push around the 91%, you're delusional. Was that purchase a good deal for Brookfield? Let's see, they bought it for $500 MILLION less than Kushner paid! However Kushner really didn't lose money because he'd made money selling the retail portion of the building previously but still owned 51% of that. Complex but not intractable. 

Bottom line, while your conspiracy theories amuse me, on this one you get an F.

Bottom line, Brookfield is a publicly traded firm and that link shows its largest investors, none of whom are Qatar. In fact the 9% number is a reach by me because the Quatar partnership is at 8.3% ownership of Brookfield and Quatar by no means is the majority stakeholder in the  Brookfield Plc that is the largest shareholder. 

Again, you're just demonstrating you know nothing about real estate. When the land is valuable enough, anyone would be a fool to sell it, so the market has responded with these long term leases. Las Vegas has them on the Strip, Chicago and others have them. 99 years is far beyond the lifespan of the people signing the lease so it's effectively permanent.

Meanwhile you're casting aspersions based on what? A Salon article?

Do you have a clue what Brookfield is.  There is a public company entity. Qatar is not invested in that.

Brookfield has many entities including Private Equity , Property Asset management , etc.

The Private Equity fund LLP  also sets uplease and manages money for other (1) Funds of Funds, do u know what those are ? (2) Sovereign Wealth Funds, high net worth individuals and other Investment vehicles.  Two of these private equity vehicles are managed for Qatar and also Saudi Arabia.  

A little bit of knowledge can be dangerous.

An MBA and a Wall street Journal subscription do not necessarily make one an expert on all things financial.
