Modern Chinese history is 1 big lie.

Chinese still worship Mao Zedong: 1st in global eternal ranking of mass murderers, over 60 million casualties.

Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Emperor Hirohito are fighting for the distant 2nd place.

If they can stand big lie about Mao, (every Chinese look at him on daily basis he is on Chinese banknotes)

they can stand CCP forever, especially that, should be honest, CCP has stellar economic record.

1. OK they are not interested, it will come by pure accident, when Chinese GDP will be 200% of United States. It would take long to mention all the current preparations: building military power projection capabilities, Belt and Road Initiative.

2. History tells us that it is not possible, no such precedence. Provide good shelter & food, prospects of decent, successful life and at the same time carry big sticks (cyber & real ones) and nobody ever dares to revolt. Please give 1 contra example. Dynastic cycles in China ended because of 1. Weak economy or 2. Foreign invasion or both.

I studied in detail modern economic history of Poland: people were revolting only when meat and vodka prices were increased by Communist Party.  Soviet Union break up was caused by inefficient economic model, low oil prices and bloated military.

The Chinese people are like any other people. They always want more. More freedom is the main thing you can get after your material needs are met. Right now the Chinese economy is suffering and Hong Kong is setting a good example for them. Taiwan still stands free. 

How could the Soviet Union have possibly fallen? Internal dissent and passive resistance.
