Nobody is going to produce an additional million tons simply to create jobs.

You are missing the point! Yes, we are surrounded by plastic. You are suggesting increasing production of petrochemical products, or plastics re your last post, by another one million tons to create, or activate 200 to 600 jobs.

You’ve got a few issues here. First, creating 200-600 jobs is nothing in the overall scheme of things. Second, in today’s climate change environmental hysteria, suggesting the production of an additional million tons of plastic to create 600 jobs would not even be considered. Finally, as I said earlier, from a business standpoint, you do not ramp up for the production of an additional million tons UNLESS YOU ARE SURE THERE IS A MARKET FOR IT! Just because we are surrounded by plastics does NOT ensure that there is room in the market for an additional million tons!
