Feel free to look up your own Dow/Nasdaq/SP500 ... don't just rely on copy and pastes, they can make for painful viewing ...

Stocks have added nearly $3 trillion to their paper value since Mr Trump’s election as measured by the Wilshire 5000 Total Market Index

Too easy - nice try

It's not too hard for the economy to recover after a huge disaster/bailout and with federal interest rate cuts. Who cares about debt?

LOL 🤣 , of course you can't give any credit.

Yeah all of that was Trump's fault too?

He won, there was a vote, get over it, jeez, not even your country.

Cheers.

You could do the same with Obama.  He was inaugurated with the S&P below 1000.  By the time he left it was @ 2000.

I would argue no president is a hero and should never be treated as such.  After all they're just government bureaucrats.

LOL was being sarcastic @Zhong Lu.

If I say someone is my hero, I probably can't stand them.

How are your trades going?

Obama took eight years to do far less while doubling the national debt.

A Trump supporter is complaining about someone else running up the debt? That's interesting.

What's the national debt now under Trump?

I don't know the precise figure funnily enough, and never said anything economy wise was Obama's 'fault' did I?

Maybe you should read who said what - it might help.

Also, I dunno why you always say O'bama with an apostrophe.

Cheers.

Isn't Excel Great?

So it looks to me that, to date, not correcting for anything, Trump has slightly edged out Obama's economic performance (but probably within margin of error, so essentially equal)

But there are a number of things to correct for.

Most importantly, Obama took over in the pits of the 2008 financial crisis. If he had no impact, historical data would suggest a recovery (aka back to 90% of peak - roughly 1403, so 90% would be 1263 or a 43% improvement) within 6-36 months. By this, we should have seen that recovery by 11/1/2011 at the latest if he had no effect whatsoever. This is exactly what we see. So Obama's first term was exactly the minimum expectation, meaning he did nothing in his first 3 years that had a statistically significant impact on the economic recovery. (Just facts, no personal opinions here)

Trump took over during a historic bull market. Statistically, we would have already expected a price correction (More likely a recession/depression) and, reasonably would be back most of the way to a recovery. Therefore the economy should be at about 1,900-2,100 SP500. It's 54.8% higher than that. Statistically this is an anomaly, meaning something during Trump's administration has happened to boost the economy above what historical data would suggest. (Again, all data, no opinions here)

Take from that what you will. That's just what the numbers say. I have my opinions as to why this is, but we'll keep this post purely facts.
