US oil supertanker about to load first export cargo

This is going to give a huge boost to US crude exports. The supertanker is loading up right now, and this heralds the launch of regular US crude oil exports from the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port. Because it's a supertanker, it has huge crude capacity, which means shipping costs will be cheaper.

Even without this supertanker, US exports were looking pretty sweet:

Should be looking to China with all this data (and not irking the Chinese unnecessarily). The most significant part of the new US export picture is China: US crude shipments to China in 2016 were ZERO. By January this year, they were 400,000 bpd (that's $1 billion). And that doesn't count all the LNG. Nor does it account for the capacity of the new supertanker.
