Promoting green energy, efficiency and tougher standards for appliances and homes are all good replacements if costs are close to their polluting cousins. On the other hand allowing flaring so you can get to oil is just stupid. It shouldn’t be this hard to find a common sense balance.

We have the brains and the money to make progress like eliminating heavy sulfur from bunker fuels but spending trillions in areas that have poor wind and poor sun is foolish. There are areas that nat gas is the improvement over coal for new growth. Brought to you by Captain Obvious.
