Tesla vs. China--Who Will Be Victorious?

China is still digging its heels in, and not allowing Tesla to 100% own a factory there. China, as in all manufacturing businesses there, wants a piece of it. Tesla says it won't share. But importing Tesla's to China is pricing it out of the market there.

Who will blink first? Does China need Tesla as much as Tesla needs China?

China isn't going to give in on this. There will always be a Chinese ownership stake.

Expected. In 2017, China alone sold more electric vehicles than were sold globally in 2016. In 2017, China sold over 300% more than all of the U.S.

I don't know any foreign company that owns 100 % of the factory in China. But the fact is that more EV market increases, the governments are under more pressure to find base load clean energy and make a best deal.
