The sooner we get out, the better. The area is a giant tar baby. The more we win, the more we lose.  And yes, protect the embassy of course, but in general, the best protection is to not be there.

There is another thread adding some historical context to this but the idea that the USA won anything in the 2003 Iraq War at all must be tattooed onto your hippocampus as it is not a sentiment widely shared.

Another Benghazi will not be happening under Trump's watch.  The U.S. Embassy staff will be protected under Trump's orders, unlike Hillary Clinton who abandoned U.S. staff to die overseas.

Soldiers are still dying in Afghanistan. Where is the responsibility tweet. Was it golf day? Fox News day? It’s send troops to Iraq day. For what?

Misspellings as Iraq and Iran confuse the heck out of Trump and as they live at the a$$ end of the planet anyway can't watch him on Fox don't play golf and are not Christians then they deserve whatever is coming.

Well, at production nearing 4 MBbl/day, the coalition won what they wanted. Unfortunately so has China.

So true, and were it not for the US invasion Iraq would be producing at significantly greater rates as it took 10 years to get back to their pre-war output.

Best just to move everything to the Consulate in Erbil and leave the Southern Iraqis to their own devices.
