Tesla's cloud hacked, used to mine cryptocurrency

Hackers infiltrated Tesla’s cloud environment and stole computer resources to mine for cryptocurrency. RedLock’s Cloud Security Intelligence team—yes, its own CSI team—notified Tesla of the intrusion and the vulnerability was addressed. The hackers quietly hijacked the console and began running scripts to generate virtual currency like bitcoin, the latest in a series of "cryptojacking" attacks. The researchers also found the hackers used "sophisticated evasion measures" to go undetected.

Didn’t Musk say that this is his biggest fear and number 1 reason why they invested a lot of resources in cybersecurity?

Even the best protected systems get hacked.  I believe Tesla has the best IT security among all the automakers, simply because they have been using OTA updates for a long time.
