General Electric Affirms Commitment to Baker Hughes, Shares Rise

 Shares of General Electric Co’s Baker Hughes  rose today after the parent company said it wouldn't shed its holdings in the oilfield services business before the expiration of a two-year lockup period. Obviously GE reverse an earlier stance about shedding its Baker Hughes holdings to refocus its business and boost cash flows.

GE changed its direction and reconsidered a business move. Back-pedaling pays off.
