  2. Quote:" ......... those that claim burning coal and using oil it is not harmful are brain dead." This world works on trial and error. Incessant improvision by humble pioneers make things better for all. 1. Evolution of oil - Oil started by burning crude. Heavy soot, heavy pollution. - pioneers found out crude could be refined. Distillation at different temperature produced different products. Many other things extended from here. - petrol with lead and sulphur was introduced => petrol without lead and minimal sulphur was introduced - long chain hydrocarbon produced much soot, often due to incomplete combustion => short chain HC were introduced e.g. propane, octane. Cleaner fuel with complete combustion, protect engine and save money 2. Evolution of coal - Wood was burnt for fire. - air pollution was very bad e.g. smog, acid rain => wood was cured to form chunks of coal. Air quality and efficiency of burning improved. - coal mining, powder form was introduced. Too dense, little air during combustion. Much material wasted with incomplete combustion. Heat efficiency was low => modification to increase efficiency. Some coal plants have efficiency of ~87%. Small mind gossip; great mind improvise....... Where are you looking, at gossip or improvision, determine your stand towards oil and coal...
  3. Quote:" German coal consumption....off a cliff.....Love to see you eat shit...next time you open your piehole...try doing a little research DUMBASS I do see you support coal....only Morons support coal.........." How rude!! Why are you not being censored yet? Selva? You are the one should do more reading before opening your mouth in such manner!! Check these out: 1. One of the Newsletter last year posted an article which said :" Germany reopening coal factories in preparation for energy demand during winter... " 2. Europe has been trying to reduce impact of acid rain, smog, air pollution in general, from coal since 1950s or 60s. - You have not realized most of them have hydro, gas, nuclear, geothermal, hydro-wind mill, as power generators? Not coal!! - Those late adopters might have coal making plants somewhere in Brazil or less developed countries to supply the needs. They replant the trees of course. 3. Owing to insufficient right information, request from labour party of a european country to increase wages of coal workers by £2 a week was declined for decades. Yet, billions of spending on military equipment was approved within a day or a week in the late 90s. They are giving those unknown and unsung heroes of their economy back bone a hard time... In exchange of falling empire.... 4. From a cult kid :" Urbanization in Europe, and the world in general, is changing the regularity of wind belt system". Wind energy will become less and less predictable in time, unless there is an increase in frequency of cyclone, hurricane etc... 5. As mentioned in one of the replies, modern designs of coal - steam funnel might be with flaw... a) air inlet system b) size of coal c) old design of double boiler with one heating source should be reconsidered etc Mind your manner!!
  4. Thank you for the info. There is another aspect that could be expanded in discussion.. But i'm not certain it is correct.... 1. As a " hermaphrodite", the earth has both a) magnetic field, formed by compound of iron, Fe. - There is an appearance of axis from the North near Hudson bay, to the South, a village of Argentina, with the most frequent lightning hit per year. b) electric field, most probably formed by flowing magma and positively charged minerals in the core ( or larva when out of earth crust). The flow of conductors ( metal ions) is constant, from hot core to colder areas on the crust. p/s: posted a link copied from facebook regarding a video and discussion of this. Not sure if anyone has seen it... 2. When the earth is self spinning, probably caused by the tilt of axis and flowing magma, electro-magnetic field is produced. a) positively charged ions or ionic compound attract electrons from the sun 🌞 i) This inflow of electrons shall conducted would become electricity? ii) solar panel is using photon, energy pack of the sun to jump start a flow of electron from atom silicone? (i) is direct conduction like a lightning rod... But...... It is collecting small amount at fixed location to become accumulated large sum or be amplified... However, b) electro-magnetic field on earth repels those incoming electrons... - only electrons with certain frequency or wavelength are allowed. - refraction of light by prism, water droplets, cloud proves that electron of different frequency produces different colour of light. - with that, aurora or polar light, hence, is merely a refraction of light by the cloud or water droplets in the sky?? - harvesting certain colour of light would give certainty of electricity at certain frequency?
  5. 1. I do not know much about the expansion or status quo of the universe but .... a) from observation on centrifugal force, we could probably deduce that " every unrestrained spinning object would be expanding in circular form".. imagine shot put. There is a force pushing things outward, far and away, depending on the strength of spinning center, weight of thing(s) involved, speed of spinning, atmospheric resistance etc... Shall unrestrained. 2. Posted a reply on facebook over a question about evolution posted on a philosophy group. Briefly put it here, portion of it that i could remember..... a) Darwin was introduced by his teacher to go on a trip to Galapagos Island. There, he drew out everything he saw. He observed later, same birds that live in different areas of the island developed beaks of different shapes and sizes. He suggested different types of food found in different location might have provoked "adaptation", so that they can survive. Hence, he said:" survive of the fittest... " b) he also noticed, birds that had high reproductive rate, usually were of smaller sizes... ( Too much fornication and bird birth used up energy. Offsprings just had not enough time to grow properly in size.) 'o' '-' That's about all he said. Credible, right? Later, light bulb moment of some smarter scientists tried to explain origin of living things and human beings. The theory is " If chimpanzee could evolve to become earliest mankind, then, why not other things? There might be a link between all living things somehow... " Family tree was introduced. Here is where brainless but smart octopus, that have been living millions of years, could be our ancestors, by chance... 'o' +~+ In short, if Darwin had used the term " adapt" instead of "evolve", the blame might not have fallen on him...... If mankind is not from 🐙 and a single protein after some mysterious thunder and lightning, how do we exist? When science fails to explain things, religion or gods come into place... If they do not exist, then mysterious protein would be how the later living things evolved and adapted to environmental condition... Right? @~@ +.+
  6. It is in fact not a bad idea to have no or minimum car on the street on off days. Some places have indeed put more cultural things on the street e.g. flea market on empty parking lot in Bremen; open air philharmonic performance in a park Bremen; open air movie theater China; cultural walk in Penang; Morning farmers' market on empty parking lot Muar, Segamat; night market on specific street on certain day etc... Used to cycle here and there freely while breathing in fresh air when i was a kid in a village. Now, the vehicles are getting too much to cycle without interference for a distance of 5 min. I needed to get down and push the bike for safety reason. Trees are gone. Each breath has more hot waste gas than refreshing air. Some rivers dried off, others nearly dried off. No more big belly/ pregnant fish and colourful tail fish catching for fun. With changes, new incomers are brought in. They change the safety, habit etc of the village. Once a wild place, we never experienced street robbery, houses broken in, past mid night motoring, past 1a.m. loud gathering without purpose; past 1a.m. firework during celebration. It was a self ruling yet protective town. New comers brought in are dangerous, inconsiderate, ignorant about cultural meaning of firework etc who are doing all of those. If these are happening at your place, how do you balance inclusion or globalization and old settings?? Nostalgic...
  7. There is a kind of entertainment programme in china. It invites two teams of a few celebrities to compete while helping out in remote areas where progresses have been made. One of the series shown setting up solar system, irrigation system, planting trees to reduce the speed of desertification in probably mongolia or xin jiang. It is a hassle to clean dust and sand off those panels daily. They have only the old to do the work. But the other two shows prominent result. An effort of 20 years from persistency of a single person in charged to reduce the speed and impact of desertification... And an ability to harvest self sustaining amount of agricultural products, like potatoes, in the desert due to irrigation system. Another episode shown amazing transformation of a coal mining town. The town council used 20+ years to transform it from a polluted, lack of all facilities and vegetation, into eye catchy- green- ecotourism town. Basic sanitation system installed, beautiful and green landscaping set up at the right place. These two examples show that 1. If there is advantage, there will be disadvantage. a) although convenient, maintaining solar system is a lot of work. If the sun shines brighter, temperature gets hotter, efficiency and lifespan of panels would be affected. b) although filthy, cheap, dangerous and in need of hard labouring, coal mining can actually be purified to become something green, provides economic energy that keeps inflation low, provide side incomes when done correctly. 2. Therefore, there might be no need to phase out one over the other but improvise to improve flaw respectively...
  8. Might be wrong, but..... 1. Rays indicate polar regions. Upper end = North; Lower end = South The tilting angle indicates it is summer or autumn in the South. 2. Cloud formed at both sides of sphere indicate electro-magnetic field. - c, a shape on the left side showing a flow of electrons from North to South - ') a shape on the right side showing a flow of electrons from South to North. (Uncertain if this is correct. Looking at the direction of cloud, it appears to be...) P/s: normal magnet has one directional flow i.e. from North to South. Therefore, the earth itself is a " hermaphrodite" i.e. a) it is a naturally formed magnet b) it has current flowing in one complete circle constantly. ( Uncertain about this one... Normal theory, two circuits on the side...) By intercepting this current, electricity can be obtained? I.e. sky- letric. (Uncertain about this one. If too much interception, protection onto the earth against cosmic rays would be weaken...?) A country in Scandinavia has a wireless electric car charging lane. Not sure how they did it... This was a random video shown by world economic forum page on facebook... Could it be intercepting current from the sky??
  9. Someone at NASA got this shot of total solar eclipse... It gives us an insight into another less explored side of earth i.e. the earth itself is a magnet, with current flowing constantly from north pole to south. And south to north? If this image is true, 1. theory of magnetism is about to change? (Refer to image magnetic field. The flow is one direction, from north to south only...) 2. theory of wireless electricity generation or sky- letric is about to be realized or popularized? 'o'
  10. Daddy had been very knowledgeable in many ways. I'm grateful to have had him as daddy. Great personality and traits to be inherited from... ** Ahemnn ** ( tactic of praise one other person and begotten sprinkler of good vibe onto oneself..) 😳😊 It had been my primary aim to go out and have a look, work a few years to raise my status of salary and go home to let both parents live good life. However, Inhumane, shameless, despicable decisions/ choices made by others have affected how he could have enjoyed life upon and after my graduation. Still waiting for rescue promised to change my ruined fate and imposed hard life ... It has been disheartening and unbelievable how indifferent, ignorant, cruel, unfair etc 99.9% of us can be... Thank you for pointing that out. Confused by the duo... 'o' statue of liberty has one hand on a torch; another on the side with a stack of paper or something. That stack of paper points toward France?! 'o' 'O' How devine the degree of set up might have been... '-'
  11. Thank you for noticing the point crossed. You have good eyes. Mostly, script writers and book authors would get their ideas from: a) adapting historical stories b) experience in real life, whether it is personal experience or experience of others c) sometimes, there could be inspiration and amazing help experience of connectivity... especially sci-fi. Therefore, when it says "fiction", it is not all unreal. By claiming "It is a fiction. Any similarity is sere coincidence", it could avoid possible unwanted lawsuits where sensitive souls would claim violation of privacy or such. You hit the point and not realizing it..... " The government is not efficient because those servants hate their jobs"... This world works in a mode of " copyright" i.e. " the right to copy" . For a small company, the decision made befallen on one person, i.e. the owner of the company. For a big company, there usually are several persons needed to be informed. Therefore, they need transparency in their dealings. Getting quotation to get best prices with quality that meets the need, submission for approval and getting things ordered, are common procedure. Government setting copies big company operandi mode. Despite so, descrepancy gradually happens. Monopoly could happen when nepotism is in place. Corruption occurs when favouritism takes place. A fast process becomes slow, slower and stagnant, as officers are fighting for their "freebies", or " recurrent/ one off side passive incomes", not just one person in charged, but through layers of officers in pyramidal hierarchy ... Check and balance used to be happening in the parliament before any big spending was granted. People of opposing opinion were free to voice their opinion before final decision was made. But these common sense and ability are gone. Uniformity is what sought after. Obedience/ bow low is what taught. My daddy mentioned a cartoon depicting the situation when i was much younger. In the cartoon, those representatives went to the parliament in a standard mode, i.e. left hand holding a 🥥 coconut ( pronounce 'yah'); right hand holding a glass bottle 🍾 ( pronounce ' botui'). When asked about opinion, they would just lift either hand and chant " yah, yah, botui, botui". It means, ' yes, yes, correct, correct'... Modern Democracy is no longer a system represents how Rome had started it. Back then, the community was small. Every person above 16 or 18, would take part in the decision making of the community. Now, many, if not most, might not know whom they are selecting. How would those elected be caring for them and fighting for what they need if the representatives never know how the voters live and what they need?? In addition, they might not want to go against the rich in power by saying or doing something differently. Uniformity is what sought. Obedience is what taught. We are in ridiculous time.... May the righteous sense be awaken and justice returned...
  12. There might have been misunderstanding. Electricity has become the basic necessity disregard before, now or in the future. " How it should be generated" might be the topic of dispute... There is a dispute probably because we use the word of absolutism " should" .......... What if we use " could"? There has been a reply/ post regarding a course " back yard meteorology". It shows an experiment that says " if the air is too clean, no obvious or little water vapour will condense to become water". Do you realize most of the modern rain making attempts failed because they added something not suitable e.g. salt, metals etc? Guess what does it take?? '-'
  13. Amidst the diarrheatic text, it is amazing you can identify something said....... But, possibly incorrectly... Servants = people paid to serve the employer and/ or the public The bureaucrates behave as if they are superior crowd working for the government. They forget, they are paid to serve, not just as a YES man to instruction, but also serving the public. So...... They make things inefficient and tell you it is standard operating procedure; they are competing among each other who is performing worse, making many mistakes and not getting caught. Young professional nowadays no longer having what it used to take to be respected. In a Korean drama, it showed a self educated housewife mother of a newborn, was more knowledgeable than doctors who are educated, trained to specialized, worked in a sum of at least 10 years, 15 or more during her baby discomfort...... It is no longer a secret, experts and professional refer mainly to pioneers, retirees and those near retiring ages. Why do they need so many " not servants", by your claim, who can not do the basic, in the government?
  14. You might have confused a) a government b) a government department ( One department of a government) University setting: - in the old days, a clerk used to handle petty cash went in and out of a department. Every year, you have a sum of allocation to one department, say, $100,000. Claims from, e.g. department of Science, are generally: a) petrol for field work b) toll fees c) misc One field trip, normally around few hundreds. Should a lecturer need to buy lab equipment, assesories for experiment, chemical and stuff, the sum usually must not be more than $10,000. Permission from head of department was needed for spending of this kind. ( Individual sometimes would have sponsors or personal research fund). No tax. No adjustment to financial report. No hassle. Do you need an accountant for such a sum? If we enlarge this to one department of a government. Similarly, in the old days, you have allocation of few millions per department. If there were applications for fund, special consideration would be made to finance department. If there was no request for money, the allocation would sit there for years. No new allocation either. With not much activity, do you need an accountant for a department? Yes, you do, of course. You are highly specialized breed. Doing more than one task would fail you. That was before. Now, the governments and servants are taught a new accounting system called "zero up" by year end. By its name, each department must finishes allocation for the year to have new allocation in. So, what do they do? The most 'worthy' spending was a luxury entourage of all families of workers of a department to visit public toilets in England, other European countries and such. Exchange rate was 1 pound to 7. With the new system, they need an accountant to adjust the end sum to zero in all ways possible, yes? Guess, this is how the administrative costs of that gov increased from ~ 290 millions in the 80s and 90s to ~ a trillion recent years ( ~ 900 billions). Same with the rest of professional you mentioned above. Do they have leak roof at every department every day? Month? Year? Or every 30 - 50 years with regular maintenance? Why do they need engineers in every department? Do they have external dealing at every department every day? Month? Year? Or once in a long while? Why do they need lawyers in every department? There has been a latest cult term arisen from how wastage occurs on food at some locations. It is called " st∆p∆d standard operating procedure" incurred from blind following order or copying the private sector blindly. You can do your best to help wherever you can. Or sneeze over it as a numbed bystander and be unconcerned. Your life, your choice.
