About this blog

I started this blog to express what I sense about the highs and lows of the oil realm, while cautiously analysing historical data, taking into account the geo-political development at the time of recording them.

I got into this field, having been a passive observer of fluctuations of crude oil prices and their global consequences for years.

Then, when on the day of Great Oil Crash in April, 2020, I made a decision to make my own blog, with the motto, ‘analysing data that really matters’.

Having come from an academic background in mathematics and physics, I analyse data using my own tools, created with JavaScript and Python, taking my decision on board while making decisions.

Brazil’s offshore revival seeks to double crude output by 2030

Outside of the U.S. and OPEC, Brazil is set to add more crude production through 2026 than any other country. It wants to double crude output by 2030 to become the world’s fifth-largest exporter, and even if it doesn't hit that target, low-cost oil plays have positioned the country well to emerge as one of the world's most important sources for production growth. bp to deploy Palantir Technologies’ AI, digital twin software to support oil and gas operations

Palantir’s AIP software will assist bp to safely and reliably harness large language models to improve and accelerate human decision-making with suggested courses of action based on automated analysis of the underlying data. BP Singapore inks 10-year LNG supply deal with Pavilion Energy that includes CO2 reporting

Pavilion Energy Trading and Supply and BP Singapore have signed a long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement for the supply of approximately 0.8 million tons of LNG per year to Singapore for 10 years from 2024. As part of the agreement, both companies will strive to co-develop and implement a greenhouse gas quantification and reporting methodology. View the full article
