Chevron begins oil production from Whale platform in deepwater Gulf of Mexico

Chevron has announced the start of oil production from the Whale semisubmersible platform in the deepwater U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Estimated peak production from the Whale development is 100,000 gross boed, with up to 15 wells in the first phase.
