Pavel + 384 PP February 28, 2018 At 500,000 pounds and 385 feet, "Stratolaunch", marks another key milestone. Allen’s Seattle-based company is developing it as a platform for lifting rockets into the stratosphere before launching them into space. "Monster"! franco + 96 FM February 28, 2018 (edited) I'm not an expert for planes. But, doesn't really look like it has that capability. Too cumbersome. Sketchy design to be able to withstand the thrust rockets would need. More of a Spruce Goose feeling to me. Edited February 28, 2018 by franco

Petar + 76 PP March 1, 2018 Maybe a step forward in heavy lift aircraft but certainly one ugly mother as throw forward from the spruce goose hopefully more successful.
Pavel + 384 PP March 1, 2018 Wonder how it might handle single engine (well 3) landing, as part of the test flight. But, in some strange way it's a elegance in a class of its own.
