Hotone + 412 March 18, 2020 (edited) This announcement was back in May 2019, when Trump unleashed the policies for American Energy Dominance SHARE FACT SHEETS President Donald J. Trump Is Unleashing American Energy Dominance ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT Issued on: May 14, 2019 QUOTE The golden era of American energy is now underway. President Donald J. Trump USHERING IN THE NEW ERA OF AMERICAN ENERGY: President Donald J. Trump has put in place policies that tap into America’s incredible energy resources. President Trump has rolled back stifling policies put in place by the previous administration that were holding back our country from achieving energy dominance. President Trump withdrew from the terrible Paris Climate Agreement. President Trump ended the war on coal by getting rid of costly Obama-era regulations like the Stream Protection Rule and the Clean Power Plan. President Trump has taken action to open up our Nation’s abundant natural resources. President Trump signed legislation to open up the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge for energy exploration. The Department of the Interior held 28 onshore oil and gas lease sales last year, generating a record-shattering $1.1 billion in revenue. President Trump has paved the way for more energy infrastructure development, ensuring American energy can be delivered to the market. The Trump Administration approved the Dakota Access Pipeline, the Keystone XL Pipeline, and the New Burgos Pipeline. The President signed two Executive Orders to cut red tape that was holding back the construction of new energy infrastructure, like pipelines. The Trump Administration has streamlined permitting for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminals. UNLEASHING ENERGY DOMINANCE: American energy production is soaring to new heights thanks to President Trump’s policies. President Trump’s energy agenda has helped drive the booming economy—with mining and oil and gas extraction contributing to growth in 49 States. Total energy production across various sources reached a record high in 2018. Crude oil production hit a record high last year, leaping past the previous record set in 1970. Crude oil production spiked 17 percent in 2018, reaching 10.96 million barrels per day. The United States has become the largest crude oil producer in the world. American natural gas production jumped to a new high in 2018, marking the second straight year of record production. EXPANDING ENERGY EXPORTS: President Trump has worked to open up new export opportunities for American energy producers. We are exporting more and more energy as production soars and President Trump negotiates better market access for our producers. Crude oil exports nearly doubled in 2018, reaching a record average of 2 million barrels a day. Coal exports reached their highest level in five years in 2018. Under President Trump, the United States has become a net natural gas exporter for the first time since 1957. Thanks to President Trump’s negotiations, the European Union (EU) agreed to import more LNG from the United States. American exports of LNG to the EU have increased by 272 percent since this agreement and reached an all-time high in March 2019. The few wants the world to be accountable only to them. I say put a target on the backs of these few and let’s go hunting, Globalization has proved to be a disaster now that this pandemic has hit the world. 2

Ward Smith + 6,615 March 19, 2020 Business as usual, 2004. The USA was importing 16 million bbls per day and barely producing 4 mbbl / day. We were deep in the throes of Hubbert's Peak and financial types were straining to figure out what the new opium needed to be to entice our enemies to continue providing oil to us for pieces of paper we simply printed. 16 years later, we've blown a massive hole in that 16 mbbl per day import stream mainly because of light, tight oil. And those from foreign countries who used to export to the US are complaining that we aren't still importing! Whether or not the US exported oil, the gap in demand is there. Question: Where is it written that the USA should beggar its own people to enhance profits for foreign countries, many of whom despise the US? 3 6
surrept33 + 609 st March 19, 2020 (edited) I thought it was funny that trump was taking credit (once again) for policies undertaken mostly under the Obama administration. Almost everything that the Trump administration has done for the energy industry (getting rid of the clean power plan, approving interstate pipelines, approving leases on public lands), has had marginal effects at best. For what it's worth, the rise and prominence of neoliberal globalism (especially in the last 50 years) has been great for the world economy. Most of the largest effects have just been in asia.
0R0 + 6,251 March 19, 2020 Yes, I keep saying to people that trickle down lifts those at the bottom - it has worked phenomenally well. Just that Americans and Europeans were not at the bottom, they were in the middle and it just went through them to the bottom which was in Asia. But it is far from being neoliberalism, it was just a form of partially managed free trade where a lot of the participants, worst of them China, cheated heavily and stole.

Geoff Guenther + 317 March 19, 2020 The only way Trump was involved with this is that the Russians don't see him as an asset anymore. They have no reason to try to help him out of his hole as additional chaos in the world isn't helpful to them. The Saudis, on the other hand, don't have to keep reserve capacity in place to appease the West, as Americans have shown they can ramp up capacity more quickly than even they can. For them it's now a fight for market share. They can bankrupt a bunch of drillers and take a slice out of Iran and then hope prices rise again. Trump is only part of this indirectly. His "New Era of American Energy" looked dated when it was written as it's talking about a technology that is 150 years old that everyone else is trying to abandon.

So the small amount of LTO now making its way to other markets isn't the reason the man child MBS unleashed his taps. Demand destruction even after tariffs put in place and consumption still dropped. More non OPEC countries pumping same or a tad more and Guyana coming online with oil. The world as a whole is getting more product from new technics and market share is getting squeezed. Let em flood the market. Might hurt for a short while but MBS's peers will steer him in right direction. He tried this before and American Shale survived. 1 1

As for the rest of your diatribe, placing the blame on Trump for the Wuhan virus is rich, even for a person of your obviously limited intellect. Because Trump is the leader of the most powerful nation he should have, what dropped nukes on China? I'm interested in what your vast intellect comes up with. Trump warned the world of the dangers of globalism and this virus and its spread only underscores that danger. Luckily American industries began to game plan for not made in China, and those industries are far ahead of the Apples of the world who thought it would be better to throw money at their already bribed politicians hoping they'd defeat Trump in the next election. Since stupid people outnumber smart, there just might be enough idiots to put their idiot in office. If you think Biden is smarter these than Trump, that just shows you still don't know what smart means. 1 3 1
