Chinese authorities are investigating the boss of CEFC, the energy company, for alleged economic crimes. As far as I understand, this has added fuel to worries that no one is safe in China even if they're close to the government. On the other hand, the ongoing crackdown on various businesses could be an effort to keep them in check. Wonder what Glencore and QIA are thinking now -- the Rosneft deal is not finalized yet, apparently.
