Carlsbad + 19 CB March 5, 2018 It's not just militia factions vying for power who are meddling with Libyan oil production. The latest shutdown was Sunday at the giant El Sharara field, where a local landowner physically closed a valve to protest pollution (a pipeline crosses his land). Love the bravery! Kate Turlington + 44 KT March 5, 2018 apparently not a one-off: the same landowner (or landowners, I'm not sure) shut the same valve down last year and managed to keep it off for 20 days because it's the place into a wasteland.
