Indonesia Scrapping Burdensome Regulations to woo Foreign players

Recommended Posts

Indonesia scrapping 186 regulations in order to woo foreign investors to its energy industry. How successful will this be? And assuming they will be successful in doing so, who will the loser be? (for every winner....)

This could be quite successful. They intend to balance their losses by boosting development and for achieving this they need considerably more activity and investments by the international leaders.

However: scrapping 186 regulations is an easy issue compared to the complex "side issues" for international leaders.

Right, add to that that Indonesia needs to invest a lot more in exploration... most of their production comes from mature fields.
