Rodent + 1,424 March 9, 2018 Oh, North America. I'm bored with your irrational pipeline hatred. https://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/features/canada-thousands-protest-trans-mountain-pipeline-expansion-180309060838063.html It will be interesting to see how many protestors actually show up here (they optimistically think 10,000). In other pipeline news, "the developer of the Keystone XL pipeline doesn't have to reimburse attorneys who defended Nebraska landowners against the company's efforts to gain access to their land, the state Supreme Court ruled Friday." (Lac-Megantic trial). I realize pipelines leak, and pipeline companies need to get on the ball and do a better job. No spill or leak or rupture or whatever is acceptable. It's serious business. But rail-related spills have shown time and time again to be a bigger risk. But no one is protesting this, and I so don't get that. Why are pipelines such a target here? The world absolutely has to use pipelines to move their products. There really is no viable alternative at present.
