The Federal Reserve is buying (indirectly) Shale High Yield Debt

Recommended Posts

Who would have thought.

Here we go again.

Another Wallstreet bailout.

Many people think the Federal Reserve is part of the Federal Government, a Federal Agency.  Not so.Congress charters them as a National Bank.

Same playbook as the last time when the Fed bought up all the worthless mortgage portfolios from the banks .  Will be huge profits for the politically connected that get to play in the game.  Difference this time the Republicans get to hand out the candy.

For a good primer read up on how John Kerry's stepson Chris Heinze and V.P. Joe Biden's son Hunter formed a limited partnership and without any experience were awarded $130 million in Fed purchased mortgages, student loans, etc .  These securities were 100% guaranteed by the government.

Pelosi wants oversight of the current crisis distribution of funds.  Fair enough.  But first look at her past record from the last crisis.  Chris Heinze and Hunter Biden should be the first to explain how they qualified for the sweetheart deal.
