pinto + 293 PZ March 26, 2018 Half of all EU members( 14) joined with the United States and other allies to expel Russian diplomats in response to a nerve agent attack in Salibsury, England. European Council President Donald Tusk announced the coordinated expulsions at a meeting of EU leaders in Varna, Bulgaria. In the United States, the White House announced the expulsion of dozens of Russian diplomats and ordered the closure of the Russian Consulate in Seattle, citing the close proximity of a submarine base and the Boeing manufacturing plant. Ukraine also announced it was expelling 13 Russian diplomats. Things are moving fast. Current tally of Russian diplomats expelled:🇫🇷: 4 🇩🇪: 4 🇵🇱: 4 🇱🇹: 3 🇨🇿: 3 🇳🇱: 2 🇩🇰: 2 🇮🇹: 2 🇭🇷: 1 🇭🇺: 1 🇱🇻: 1 🇬🇧: 23 🇺🇸: 60 It's time for show us a real evidence - to stopped Russian hysteria and their attitude about innocence in this case. jpZelabal + 63 jj March 26, 2018 EU is at the forefront of sanctions against Russia. But. If you really want to hurt Russia, expel their corrupt money, not their diplomats. Does anyone actually know how wealthy Putin is and how he got that way? Russia is a "one man state", a criminal kleptocracy with a symbiotic relationship with organized crime.

Russia is a "one man state", a criminal kleptocracy with a symbiotic relationship with organized crime. But expelling diplomats is really easy and not much of a sacrifice for those doing the ousting. It might not be a horrific consequence to Russia to have their diplomats expelled, but it would be painful to detangle from Russian money. It's a nice show acted out on the world stage, if nothing else.
Petar + 76 PP March 26, 2018 The worst thing is that these sanctions will hurt his people and not him. Really like the idea of encouraging and making it easier for Russian people to "integrate" in EU. Travel, experience... I have Russian friends who once been in EU can't believe what is happening at their home. But we have to be aware that many of them have manipulated idea about how EU or member states works against Russia and Putin. When they comeback home they are again regime's control. And, result is Putin on the TOP last two decade.
pinto + 293 PZ March 26, 2018 Standing in solidarity against chemical weapon use is so normal and human thing! From the other hand more UK is leaving EU and Russia is testing them to see if they are weaken by it. They are not. This isn’t just EU or U.S. solidarity but world solidarity. The chemical attack has united the World against Russia.

Pavel + 384 PP March 29, 2018 Latest: "Russia has ordered 60 U.S. diplomats to leave by April 5, the foreign ministry said on Thursday, in a retaliatory move against Washington which expelled a similar number of Russian diplomats over the poisoning of a Russian spy in England." Guess that's more humane than poisoning them...or cyber-attacking our infrastructure or election tampering. Olga Tkachuk + 33 OT June 12, 2018 (edited) What a bunch of BS. The day London et al. stop allowing the Russian (and every other) kleptocracy, "new and improved" Ukraine very much included, to launder billions stolen from citizens of these countries will be the day that they actually do something useful. But courting foreign money and giving visas to anyone willing to pony up for them - gleefully taking billions from Gulf monarchies built on the backs of slaves, post-Soviet billionaires who rob their countries blind, etc. - all while claiming the high moral ground, is a special kind of hypocrisy.
