damirUSBiH + 327 DD March 26, 2018 According to Bloomberg, Kim Jong Un made a surprise visit to Beijing on his first known trip outside North Korea since taking power in 2011, three people with knowledge of the visit said. Further details of his trip, including how long Kim would stay and who he would meet, were not immediately available. The people asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the information. Speculation about a possible visit by a high-ranking North Korean official circulated around the Chinese capital Monday, after Japan’s Kyodo News reported that a special train may have carried Kim through the northeastern border city of Dandong. Nippon TV showed footage of a train arriving Monday in Beijing that looked similar to one used by Kim’s father, Kim Jong Il, to visit the country shortly before his death in 2011. jpZelabal + 63 jj March 26, 2018 It would "make perfect sense" for Kim to travel to Beijing "using father's armored train," rout was well-tested by North Korean security and that the blackout on state media covering the trip was consistent with trips his father Kim Jong Il made... I don't believe....

Train and escort from NK are there. China has great influence, and it gets what it wants when it pulls the string. It looks as if it just pulled the string.

damirUSBiH + 327 DD March 28, 2018 Yes,it is. Kim Jong Un secretly met with China's Xi Jinping - After two days of speculation, China and North Korea both confirmed that Kim had traveled to Beijing and met Xi during what China called an unofficial visit from Sunday to Wednesday. The visit was Kim’s first known trip outside North Korea since he assumed power in 2011 and is believed by analysts to serve as preparation for upcoming summits with South Korea and the United States. North Korea’s KCNA news agency made no mention of Kim’s pledge to denuclearize, or his anticipated meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump that is planned for some time in May.

jpZelabal + 63 jj March 28, 2018 Political dialogues between countries especially in this case (political allies and neighbors) is initiative to defuse tension the world is confronted with. I suppose It's essentially important for regime of KJU to consult on issues with China before entering into a crucial dialogue with south Korea & United States.
