Most definitely the writing is on the wall, most concentrating of further out, Junes contract will plunge much earlier, this who got caught holding the bag last week won't get caught again, barely a week in and the bears are already running, If Junes contract stays positive it will be due to some out of the blue manoeuvre that only a select few will know about, there is no reason for it not to plunge. But as we know things can spin on a dime.
Tomaz Korosec + 3 April 28, 2020 Yeah, may one was a surprise, now everyone knows what can an probably will happen, so dynamics will be a bit different. Shorting will began much eartlier, but also much earlier everyone will roll, like USO did etc. So because now everyone expects the same thing things can turn a bit different. On the other hand commodities are settled in real terms not only financially, so with so much oversupply I do not see how it could end up any other way than down down down. Nowhere to put this oil..

Also when demand picks up, there is still tons of oil being stored and besides a cut in production does not materialize in 5 days..
