CMOP + 227 April 2, 2018 A civil suit playing out between five American oil companies and the municipalities of Oakland and San Francisco started off poorly for climate change activists. In defense, the companies' lawyers don't seem to be questioning the science behind climate change, but rather their clients' responsibility. The lawyers are expected to argue that the individuals who burn fossil fuels, rather than companies, are responsible for contributions to climate change. Marina Schwarz + 1,576 April 3, 2018 Add car companies selling fossil-fuel burning cars to the equation, throw in everyone who has ever used anything plastic and the responsibility gets shared as it should be. it's too easy to just blame someone for all the evils in the world, refusing to own up to your own role in these evils. Just like all those smokers who were apparently force-fed cigarettes to get hooked. Yeah, right.
