How many people have had COVID 19 in the Czech Republic?

Recommended Posts

Today, the Czech government published the results of nation-wide testing of what should be a representative sample of the Czech population (the testing was done in several cities including the capital across all age groups). The result is that only 107 out of tested 26549 people had COVID 19 antibodies in their blood. That refutes all those wishful theories that "we all had the disease already anyway, and did not even notice, so let's safely return to the schools and work".

The danger is out there, ready to strike again once people lower their guard. It also shows that the plateau of new cases that was reached in Czech Republic can be attributed to the social distancing measures and the protective equipment that slowed down the spread of the virus dramatically. Their importance cannot be overstated enough.
