TraderTate + 186 TS April 16, 2018 Great news for Kinder Morgan. Trudeau wants that pipeline badly enough that he's going to offer them financial aid to get it built. So that's a defeat for British Colombia, which has been trying to keep this pipeline from becoming a reality. The pipeline will triple the capacity of Kinder's Trans Mountain line running from Alberta to British Colombia. It's a $5.9 billion project opposed on environmental grounds. Kinder upped the ante recently saying it would just walk away. So it got what it was fishing for. Trudeau said he "instructed the minister of finance to initiate formal financial discussions with Kinder Morgan..." because the project is of "vital strategic interest to Canada".
