Rodent + 1,424 April 16, 2018 BP new report "Advancing The Energy Transition" calls for lowered greenhouse gas emissions through 2025 from operations. Did BP go as far as anyone can expect from a company whose main business is fossil fuels? Is this a "greenwash" and "lightweight response" to something as significant as climate change? Missy + 43 MM April 16, 2018 Some people may cry foul here, but the fact that a company as large as BP is boasting no greenhouse gas emissions growth for the next decade is pretty significant. Maybe people wanted them to go further, but still, no growth in emissions from operations in a decade is still notable.

Addy + 14 AW April 16, 2018 Just now, BeamMeUp said: " A race to renewables will not be enough" That says it all. BP is gun shy after its Beyond Petroleum cluster. Understandably so. It's merely treading carefully, letting the other oil majors test the waters. And not for nothing, but it hardly has a lot of free cash lying around after the BP debacle. Lots of bad plays here in BP's history.
