A "good relationship" was formed at the meeting last week, President Trump tweeted today. News of the visit first emerged on Tuesday. US officials were quoted as saying the aim was to prepare a summit between President Trump and NK leader Kim. The news that Mr Pompeo had travelled to North Korea for a clandestine meeting with Mr Kim was first reported by The Washington Post. The trip took place shortly after Mr Pompeo was nominated by Mr Trump to replace Rex Tillerson as secretary of state, two anonymous sources "with direct knowledge of the trip" told the newspaper. No doubt, it's a big push for Pompeo and big step to build a peace in the Korean peninsula...

Trump sent Pompeo there so now they can say Pompeo is a "negotiator". Congress will now have to consider confirming him as Secretary of State. Don't forget Pompeo had a secret meeting with Banned Russian Spies that we learned about through Russia's media.

Maybe, key question: What assets did the head of the CIA give up in this secret meeting to gain favor with NK? He isn’t State Dept; has no ability to talk sanctions, aid... all he has is intelligence data: agents, analysis and operations.. I admit,this is not usual.

I don't follow the bitcoin thing ... but how is the clandestine meeting a big step? Do we have anything concrete on this? Not sure I feel comfortable knowing these yahoos are handling this on the quiet and without anyone knowing the 'strategy'--if there is one.
